Straight Story (1999)

The eighth full-length feature film by American film director David Lynch, “The Straight Story,” tells the story of Alvin Straight. He went through World War II and lives in Iowa with his daughter Rose, who suffers from a congenital illness.

One day he learns that his brother Lyle, living hundreds of miles away in Wisconsin, has had a stroke. They had not seen each other for many years because of a stupid quarrel. Lord of the Rings (2001-2003)

Directed by Peter Jackson, the three-film series is an adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.

The plot of the trilogy follows the hobbit Frodo Baggins, who goes on a campaign with the Fellowship of the Ring to destroy the One Ring. This is necessary for the final victory over his creator, the Dark Lord Sauron.

The Brotherhood breaks up, and Frodo continues his journey with his faithful companion Sam and the treacherous guide Gollum. Meanwhile, Aragorn, heir to the throne of Gondor, and the wizard Gandalf unite the Free Peoples of Middle-earth to face the armies of Sauron in a great war.

Into the Wild (2007)

Sean Penn’s directorial debut, the biographical drama Into the Wild, was an adaptation of Jon Krakauer’s book of the same name.

American adventure comedy drama directed, produced and actor Ben Stiller, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, released in 2013. The film is based on the novel of the same name by James Thurber and is a remake of the 1947 film of the same name.

36-year-old hunter Hugh Glass goes hunting with a group of friends. On the way, he is attacked by a grizzly bear, Glass is seriously injured and cannot walk on his own. The hunter’s companions robbed him and left him to die in the forest, but Hugh survived and now he wants to take revenge on those who betrayed him.

Max will have to fight with numerous enemies and there is only one way: either he or death. But doing all this on your own is almost impossible. In this terrible and hot desert, everyone is their own master and only the one who is stronger is right.

Django Unchained (2012)

Adventure film by Quentin Tarantino. The director took on a new genre for him – the western. This part of American history was previously avoided. They were ashamed of her. To find and kill the two Brittle gangster brothers, he needs a good assistant. But he still hasn’t been able to find one. After seeing Django at an auction, King decides that he has found the one he needs.
