A soldier of the Armed Forces shot down three Russian trucks with FPV drones

Before going to the front, the soldier with the call sign Dym was engaged in entrepreneurial activities. However, a full-scale invasion by a herd of pigs and dogs forced him to trade his business calculator for an FPV drone remote control. Having quickly learned to control this very demanding type of weapon, Dym began to work regularly at the positions. There, he has been roasting the enemy’s embers with heavenly flames for more than three months. Only during October, he sent a whole fleet of Orkian cars to the scrapyard: several UAZs, VAZs and BMPs, and topping this list is a hellish hat trick in the form of three burned-out Urals.

Such a convincing list of targets affected by him, at first glance, does not connect with Dim’s somewhat shy habits. But when he begins to tell how he burned Russian equipment, a bloodthirsty smile spreads across his intelligent face. Yes, this quiet hack will do a lot more to cleanse the Ukrainian land of the Kremlin’s evil.

“One day we were given the command to simply search for a target in flight. I slowly guided the board at a low altitude and carefully looked around, while my navigator with the call sign Tsibulya followed the situation through the large screen of the ground station. He noticed the “Ural”, poorly disguised under a tree. I flew around that truck and directed the kamikaze drone into the cab. My unmanned aerial vehicle was then charged with a battery, so that Russian truck will not go anywhere else. Another time, I directed the drone directly under the tarpaulin of the body of another Ural. Similarly, a little later I destroyed another such truck,” Dim recalled.

In terms of defeating larger targets, Smoke is determined. The drones he has at his disposal will not blow up the tank, but they will be able to disable its optics or engine compartment. But despite everything, knocking out a tank is his goal.

During a month of work, Dim directs about 30-40 drones at brainless Russian heads. True, two-thirds of them do not reach the target due to overactive enemy EW.

“Also, the orcs have learned to shoot down our drones well with a sniper drone. When you control an unmanned aerial vehicle and look through virtual reality glasses, you can directly see how bullets fly in front of your eyes. Once, when they opened fire on the drone of another of our pilots, he turned the side and aimed directly at the legs of the orc who was shooting at him,” Dim said with a smile.

Returning from the positions, Dim sits down at the simulator to hone his drone control skills. So far, his total flight time in the simulator has reached a lofty 200 hours. Although he could confidently control the drone after 40 hours of work on the simulator.

Dim entered the profession of FPV drone operator six months ago, when this technology finally opened a new chapter not only in this war, but also in the history of the art of war. During this time, according to Dym, the number of drones at the front increased many times. However, their quality still leaves much to be desired. There are a number of drone manufacturers, the boards of which he and his brothers significantly modify so that they fly normally. And Dym considers Toro and Wild Hornets to be the best manufacturers of FPV drones in Ukraine.

The sphere of BpLA is continuous creativity and the search for new solutions. Because as soon as the pilot works out some new technique or technology, the enemy very soon has a countermeasure to it. So you constantly have to experiment, create new gadgets, etc. A special workshop is equipped in the strike UAV company, where several engineers are constantly engaged in debugging and improving drones and equipment related to them.

“You have to run with all your legs just to stay in place, and to get somewhere, you have to run at least twice as fast!” – it is written in “Alice in Wonderland”. This is exactly how we have to act – constantly run with all our might to improve the technology of FPV drones and win back our land.
