MEGOGO media service, the leader among OTT services in Ukraine, continues to share the content popularity rating among platform users. So, in the 3rd quarter of 2023, MEGOGO exclusively broadcast the Usyk – Dubois fight in Ukraine and Poland; signed a multi-year license agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery for exclusive screening of HBO and MAX series; opened a new MEGOGO Education section, which contains more than 1000+ lectures from leading online schools and institutes; presented more than 250 audio works from Ukrainian literature in free access in the MEGOGO AUDIO section and recognized the country’s best podcasters at the Slushno award.
In the rating of popular content, in the categories “movies” and “series”, the TOP-10 titles selected by the total duration of viewing in hours on the MEGOGO media service are presented. “Films on sale” are selected by the number of units sold in pieces.

Purchase (TVOD)
The rating of films bought by viewers on MEGOGO is headed by the third part of “Guardians of the Galaxy”, which became the final and, perhaps, the most emotional episode of the trilogy. It was followed by “Barbie” from Warner Bros., the release of which created a real “pink boom” and collected a record box office at the worldwide box office. Also in the trio “Transformers: Time of the Beast” is the seventh film of the franchise.
Among the blockbusters from the leading film studios, the Ukrainian tragicomedy “Luxemburg, Luxemburg” directed by Antonio Lukich, which recently received three awards from the “Kinocolo” award, secured the sixth position in the rating. The picture tells the story of two twins who have the same face – but completely different destinies. The main roles were performed by singers Amil and Ramil Nasirovy, members of the Kurgan and Aggregate group, and the tape became their debut. Also included in the film list are: “Avatar 2”, “The Runaway”, “The Little Mermaid”, “The Flash”, “Indiana Jones and the Relic of Destiny” and “John Wick 4”.
Subscription (SVOD)
In the second quarter, the leadership in the subscription viewing category was held by the Ukrainian film “Peaceful 21”. But this season, it moved to the 3rd position, giving way to the legendary action film “Top Gun: Maverick” and the comedy “The Lost City” from Paramount. The film collections of this film studio, as well as Disney, Sony and Warner Bros. now included in the top MEGOGO subscriptions.
Next in the rating are genres for every taste: the action comedy “Agent Johnny English: The New Mission”, the historical drama “Babylon”, the family adventure “The Big Red Dog Clifford” and other rated plots – both cult and new.
Free to Watch (AVOD)
In addition to movies by purchase and subscription, MEGOGO has a large collection of free content. The action movie “Game of Shadows” with Liam Neeson became the most popular here. And also “Pretext”, “Mermaid on land”, “Dangerous element” and “Doctor: Apprentice of Avicenna”.
The next five most popular free films are Ukrainian-made projects, several of which were in the top last quarter as well: “Cyborgs” by Akhtem Seitablayev, “Ilovaisk 2014. Battalion “Donbas”” by Ivan Tymchenko, “Cool 1918” by Oleksiy Shaparev, “Oh! » Olga Zolotaryova and “The Hero of My Time” by Antonina Noyabrova.
Ukrainian production
If we talk exclusively about Ukrainian cinema by different types of access on MEGOGO, then since the last quarter, the leader of the rating has been held by the tape “Mirny-21” – a 2023 war drama from the director Akhtem Seitablayev. Next, the trio is formed by “Luxembourg, Luxembourg” and “Sniper. White Raven (Extended Version)”, which ranked first in the number of views on the media service for the past year, and was also the leader of the 1st quarter of 2023. In total, 6 of the 10 films on the list have a military and historical theme. The rest are of the comedy genre: “Mad Wedding 2”, “Love and Bloggers”, “Oi!”.
Series watched the longest on MEGOGO
In September, the “Maximal” subscription from MEGOGO added NVO series, so we expect that the leaderboards will change dramatically in the next quarter. Most episodes are already available in Ukrainian. The media service plans to have 100% of HBO content in Ukrainian for six months, so MEGOGO is actively investing in creating Ukrainian tracks for the rest of the content. For all three quarters of 2023, the post-apocalyptic cult story “The Walking Dead” held the first place in the top of the most popular series. But the other two members of the top three have changed — “The Female Doctor” and “House of Happiness” have moved up.
Also in the top ten were other Ukrainian TV series: “The Color of Passion”, “Department from DVRZ”, “Catch Kaidash”, “The Autopsy Will Show”. Among the famous American plots, viewers often watched “Billions“, “Ray Donovan”, as well as the British detective series “Father Brown”.

The four leaders are holding on for the 3rd quarter in a row, only occasionally exchanging places with each other. These are the TV series “Dads”, “The Bridge”, “Kryposna” and “My Beloved Strashko”. Also this season, the documentary series “Warrior” produced by MEGOGO ORIGINALS studio. It consists of 6 parts, each of which is a story about military personnel who, until February 24, had civilian professions, but stood up for the defense of the country.
