The official trailer for “Wild Field” by Zhadan has been released

The first official trailer for the action adventure “Wild Field” directed by Yaroslav Lodygin, based on the novel “Voroshilovgrad” by Sergei Zhadan, has appeared online.

The trailer will introduce the main characters of the story, which takes place in 2010 in Starobelsk (Lugansk region) – Herman played by Oleg Moskalenko, Pastor played by Alexey Gorbunov, Kocha (Vladimir Yamnenko), Trauma (Georgy Povolotsky) and Olga (Ruslana Khazipova) . The trailer also introduces a new hero – the colorful and sunny Donbass.

According to the plot, Herman is forced to return to his hometown in eastern Ukraine. His older brother has disappeared, and now the hero must protect the family business – an old gas station. And with her – childhood friends and love in the fight against those who are seizing the land piece by piece, turning it into corn fields and a railroad that leads nowhere.

“We filmed in incredibly beautiful places, and I’m glad that our cameraman Sergei Mikhalchuk was able to convey on the screen a colorful and accurate image of Donbass, exactly the kind of Donbass and the East of Ukraine as Sergei Zhadan described it in the book, and the way I love it and how few people saw him,” notes Lodygin.

“Wild Field” will be released in wide release on November 8 this year.
