One Night (2016)
A boy from a Pakistani family, Nasir Khan, studies at one of the colleges in New York, is engaged in tutoring, helping a player in the college basketball league not to be kicked out of college. But people often react negatively to him because of his background, so when he was invited to a party by the “cool” college kids, he couldn’t miss the chance. Taking his parents’ taxi, Nasir goes to a party, and a pretty girl named Andrea gives him a lift on the way.
He spends the night in Andrea’s apartment, and wakes up in the morning to find the girl dead. Shocked, he chaotically leaves the crime scene, but the police manage to catch him. Everything around indicates that it was Nasir who killed Andrea: all the evidence points to the guy, and there are also witnesses who saw him running away from the girl’s house in the morning.
