From March 20 to 26, the Docudays UA documentary film festival on human rights will be held. It will feature three unmissable Polish films.
“WHERE I CAN NOT BE FOUND”

The film shows one day in the life of an ascetic traveling through a valley located in southern India. On his way he meets numerous inhabitants of this region. Later he returns to his hiding place, where he prolongs his life in peace.

Aneta started rebelling when she was 19 years old. She went to prison for murder. Nine years later, during her imprisonment, she begins working as a guardian. Every day, Aneta travels outside the prison walls to the home of a calm old age to care for Mrs. Helena, who is sick with rheumatism. Conversations with her ward help Anete to believe in herself before the difficult test that awaits her.

Where does human self-sacrifice come from? And where are its limits? The road of life for the heroine of this documentary is not paved with roses. From dawn to night, her day is filled with continuous responsibilities and work at the match factory is only a short episode of the whole day. A woman is trying to correct the mistakes of the past. Together with her husband, they decide to work with people with disabilities. In a chamber, quietly, away from big words, a daily struggle is being waged, requiring real self-sacrifice.
Docudays UA is the only international documentary film festival about human rights in Ukraine. Recognized filmmakers, as well as young talented scriptwriters, directors and producers from Europe, America, Asia and Africa are invited to participate in the film festival.
After the main festival in Kyiv ends, Docudays UA travels around the country. Every year, the Docudays UA Traveling Festival visits about 200 Ukrainian cities.
