The Louvre is famous for many records. One of them is the figure of more than 10 million visitors a year, which no other art museum has been able to exceed. In general, the Louvre demonstrates more than 35 thousand exhibits, and this does not count the works stored in the vaults.
The virtual tour includes seven routes:
- Works of art from the ancient Egyptian era, displayed in the eastern part of the Sully Wing.
- Works in the Galerie d’Apollon, the central exhibit of which is the painting by Eugène Delacroix on the ceiling “Apollo killing the snake python”.
- Hall of History of the Louvre building. In it you can walk along the perimeter of the fortress built by the French king Philippe Auguste.
- Exhibition “Body in motion”.
- Exhibition “The Game of Power” about monarchs and their exploits.
- Exhibition “Search for Myth from Hercules to Darth Vader”
- Exhibition “The Appearance of the Artist”. It focuses on the works of the Renaissance, when the figure of the artist outgrew the status of an ordinary artisan and received its current respected significance.
