Round Square
The main landmark of Poltava and its architectural gem. From here, like veins from a heart, streets and transport routes spread throughout the city. At the center stands the Monument of Glory, surrounded by the Corps Garden with more than seventy species of trees and shrubs, along with bright flowerbeds.
Chestnut Alley
One of the city’s most popular walking routes runs along Sobornosti Street. The alley begins with the symbolic “Globe of Poltava” and stretches to the monument of Lieutenant General Zygin. Today, around four hundred young chestnut trees grow here, restoring the alley’s historic charm.
White Rotunda and the Dumpling Monument
A picturesque rotunda is another signature landmark of Poltava. According to legend, a blacksmith once shod the tsar’s horse here. Nearby stands the monument to the traditional Ukrainian dish – dumplings – a favorite photo spot for tourists.
