We invite you to join an interesting excursion to the Carpathian region – to the picturesque museum in Kolomyia. The Kolomyya Museum of Folk Art of the Hutsul and Pokuttya region named after Josaphat Kobrinsky was founded in 1926, located in the central part of the city of Kolomyia, in the former People’s House, built with funds from the Ukrainian public. Its collections contain more than 50,000 items and represent all types of traditional folk art of the Hutsuls and Pokutians, from the 17th century to the present.
Some exhibits of this museum date back to the 4th millennium BC and represent the agricultural culture known in archaeological and historical science as “Trypillian”.
