Amazon has released the full trailer for the upcoming Homecoming series.
The psychological thriller Homecoming is based on the Gimlet Media podcast of the same name. This is the first series with the participation of Julia Roberts. The creator of the psychological television series “Mr. Robot” Sam Esmail will direct the first ten episodes from the script of the podcast’s authors Eli Horowitz and Mich Blumberg.
Julia Roberts will appear as psychologist Heidi Bergman. She is an employee of a service that helps former military personnel adapt to civilian life. Walter Cruz is one such soldier. A certain Colin Belfast interferes with Heidi’s work, whose task is to observe her.
Four years after her departure, the heroine is trying to start her life over and lives with her mother in a small town, where she works as a waitress. Suddenly, an inspector from the Ministry of Defense comes to Heidi. He pesters the woman with questions about the reason for her leaving the service. Answering questions, the girl realizes that she has been involved in a complex matter.
The mini-series will premiere on November 2. In addition to Roberts, the project also stars Stefan James, Bobby Cannavale, Sissy Spacek, Shea Whigham, Jeremy Allen White, Alex Karpovsky and Dermot Mulroney.
