Daniel Day-Lewis was born on April 29, 1957 in London into a wealthy family of English actress Jill Balcon and Irish poet Cecil Day-Lewis. Day-Lewis first appeared on the set at the age of fourteen. He appeared in a cameo role as a young vandal in John Schlesinger’s Sunday Bloody Sunday.
