World 3D Computer Graphics Day, also known as 3D Artists‘ Day, is an unofficial but widely celebrated holiday of individuals who professionally or amateurly create 3D computer graphics.
The initiator of the establishment of this holiday was Alias System Corporation. The date was not chosen by chance: the combination of the number 3 and the name of the month December is reminiscent of the abbreviation 3D. That’s why the holiday in honor of three-dimensional graphics is called 3December.
In recent years, 3December has become a holiday for all artists and designers whose work is in one way or another connected with computer graphics – both three-dimensional and two-dimensional – and its celebration stretches over several days.
- International Pesticide Day
On December 3, the world’s population celebrates International Pesticide Day. It was launched by the Pesticide Action Network (PAN International) in 1998 to commemorate the environmental disaster that occurred on December 3, 1984 at a pesticide plant in Bhopal, India.
Today’s motto: “Pesticides are the dead end of civilization.” And the purpose of Anti-Pesticide Day is to draw the world’s attention to solving the problems that have arisen as a result of the production and use of these dangerous chemicals.
