A teaser for a film about the private life of Silvio Berlusconi has been released

The film studio Universal Pictures presented the first teaser for the film “Loro”, dedicated to the legendary Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

The film was directed by Paolo Sorrentino. The previous project of the Italian director and Oscar winner for the film “The Great Beauty” is the series “The Young Pope” with Jude Law in the role of the Pope.

Paolo’s new film will focus on the personal life of a politician with a scandalous reputation. The film will include, among other things, scenes of sex parties held at Berlusconi’s villa. And also the story of his divorce from Veronica Lario.

The title of the film – “Loro” – can be translated into Ukrainian as “They”, or “Gold”. Sorrentino noted that he does not plan to “stoop” to full criticism of the former Italian prime minister. He strives to avoid a one-sided portrayal and showcase the world of a politician, media mogul and owner of the AC Milan football club.

The main role will be played by Italian actor Toni Servillo, who previously worked with Sorrentino on the films “The Great Beauty” and “The Amazing.”

The film will also star Elena Sofia Ricci, Riccardo Scamarcio and Fabrizio Bentivoglio.

“Loro” will likely premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, which will take place in France from May 8 to 19.
