Hockey Canada, one of the most authoritative national hockey federations, initiates the filming of a film that will be dedicated to the famous final series between the USSR and Canada teams in the 1987 Canada Cup final. Then Soviet hockey players did not yet play in the NHL – the way it is happening now. The Big Show bouts are also a huge success among those fans who bet on overseas franchise bouts.

Three matches of the final series between the teams of the USSR and Canada are considered a milestone in the history of hockey, and a confrontation in which the legendary players met. Many experts say that these are the three best fights in the history of hockey in general. In the final series of up to two victories in the first match, the USSR team won (6:5 in overtime), and then Canada won twice (6:5 in overtime and 6:5), eventually taking the prize.

Hockey Canada believes that this series should be filmed. It is interesting that many documentaries were shot about the matches between the USSR and Canada in 1987, but not a single feature film. In North America, they want to level this unfortunate omission.
