Abyssinian cat
This breed, bred in the UK, is considered one of the most ancient. Abyssinian cats are believed to have originated from Africa and southeast Asia. The appearance of modern Abyssinians is quite exotic, they are very reminiscent of the same animals that were depicted on ancient Egyptian frescoes. Pronounced features are large, pointed, widely spaced ears and a short, smooth coat.
American shorthair cat
This breed rightfully takes second place in the ranking. A characteristic feature is the ears turned inside out at the ends, decorated with small tassels inside the auricle.
