During 2016, 30 domestic film premieres started rolling out in Ukrainian cinemas. Their number has been growing for the sixth year in a row.
Among the premieres this year were four anthologies of short films, 8 documentaries, 2 animations and 16 feature-length feature films.
The only director who released two films at once during the year is Alexander Shapiro. In past years, such a unique record was set only by Vladimir Tikhy and Lyubomir Levitsky.
The only director who has released films every year since 2014 is Vladimir Tikhy. His new film will also be released in 2017.
