Ryan Gosling: the best films of the actor

The famous actor Ryan Gosling is currently at the peak of his fame, having seen his name in posters or on posters, the audience invariably goes to the cinemas, confident that he will perfectly demonstrate himself in any genre. It was not for nothing that he was nominated for an Oscar and was awarded a Golden Globe – only the best were awarded such awards. Probably, there are many more works waiting for him that can shock with exceptional quality, but for now it is necessary to dwell in more detail on those roles that already take place in the actor’s career. We are talking about the roles that he coped with according to certain criteria, his image was remembered, and the artist himself was able to reincarnate 100% and naturally portray his character.

This is exactly the case when Gosling had to make the audience laugh. The comedy role was a success for him as well as possible, and therefore we can safely say that this is exactly the comedy that has the right to be called successful and reviewed from time to time. Gosling this time again, in his usual manner, managed to make every effort to create a cool action comedy. The development of the plot begins with the death of a popular porn star, who after some time is seen alive and unharmed by her aunt. It is she who hires a private detective, whose role was played by Gosling, while the girl herself, who wants to remain unfound, hires another specialist. As a result of such a strange situation, just two losers meet, who join forces and unravel a difficult case.

Crazy, Stupid, Love

Another entertaining film, direct and sincere, in which Ryan Gosling played with Julianne Moore, Steve Carrel and Emma Stone. This time, the actor appeared as a young guy – a mentor for a middle-aged man who is about to get a divorce. He also provides him with advice on the conquest of sexy girls. In fairness, it should be noted that the comedy, of course, turned out to be a little sad, but there are plenty of surprises for the viewer in it, and there are many moments for laughter in it.

Lars and the real girl

A film in which Gosling appeared as a heartthrob suffering from a disorder and experiencing stress in communicating with people – such a complex image he had to bring to life this time. The decision that he makes after many unpleasant situations horrified all his acquaintances – the hero simply acquired a rubber girl for sex and introduced her to everyone as his beloved. As a result, the whole environment had to get used to such a strange behavior of a young man, especially since his attending physician recommended that they behave in this way for his own good. Is it worth talking about how happy Gosling’s hero looked in the end and spoiling how the matter ended in the end?

Fracture

In this case, we are talking about a rather tense court drama in which the brilliant Anthony Hopkins played. His hero is suspected of murdering his own wife, and as a result, the offender still remains unpunished, having managed to play on certain moments of jurisprudence, skillfully using them bypassing existing laws, even though his guilt is obvious. The assistant district attorney enters the dirty game, whose goal is to bring the villain to clean water. In this film, one can observe a very striking contrast between the character of Hopkins and the young lawyer played by Gosling. He managed to demonstrate exceptionally high-quality acting, despite his young age – the film was shot back in 2006. Mr. Hopkins himself repeatedly noted this in his interviews.

The Notebook

This picture describes the love story of a guy from a poor family and a girl from a family of aristocrats. Despite the fact that both of them dreamed of a brilliant and bright future together, their aspirations quickly shattered into reality. The melodrama was based on the work of Nicholas Sparks, and Gosling really managed to use all his acting skills in it in order to bring the thoughts and feelings of his hero to life. In fact, this is a picture with a simple and banal story, however, according to professionals, playing this is even more difficult than the same comedy or action movie. Women will like this movie more, but it is worth noting that the representatives of the stronger sex noticed the high level of Gosling’s performance.

Half Nelson

This film is a landmark for the actor, as it is the first Oscar nomination for Gosling. Of course, he is low-budget and not very famous, but those who saw him mark him as one of the best, and Ryan himself played an important role in this in every sense of the word. It’s about a young teacher who has problems with drugs. Suddenly, one student becomes his friend, who accidentally found out about the secret of her teacher.

Drive

Another of Gosling’s most famous roles, where he is a kind of good bad guy who became an unwilling criminal and managed to maintain the right moral principles, despite his lifestyle. Opening the ending for those who have not watched the movie yet, we can say that Ryan’s hero did not change himself.

Blade Runner 2049

This film is a sequel to the film by Ridley Scott. It is noteworthy that as many as 35 years have passed since the release of the original film. Many faithful viewers were attracted to this picture by Gosling, who brilliantly played with Harrison Ford in the role of an android – an unemotional creature, but capable of withstanding the correct moral attitudes. In fact, this is a character similar to the one played in Drive, only transferred to the distant future in a different shell.

The Ides of March

Faced with the need to connect with the games inherent in the world of politics, everyone, even being the best and purest, can go to the opposite, dark side. Gosling’s hero also passes the test of strength, discovering that even the one about whom such a thing could never be thought of can be substituted. It is quite difficult to live in such a situation, but it is highly desirable to maintain a reputation and not deviate from one’s own principles.

La La Land

A romantic comedy, smoothly flowing into a serious drama and dressed in the form of a jazz musical film. This picture can hardly be called frivolous, since it is able to reflect most human experiences and emotions. We are talking about an aspiring jazz pianist and actress who ended up in Los Angeles, where they have to go through many tests. Such a musical production allowed Gosling to reveal his dramatic talent, and Emma Stone, who acted as his partner, received her first Oscar for this role.
