Gluten-free products: who needs a new diet and why?

Gluten-free products can be a real salvation for those who suffer from a disease such as celiac disease. They have a similar effect on those who are gluten intolerant. If experts recommend adhering to such a diet, it is important, first of all, to limit the list of products that contain gluten. This includes bread, pasta, sausages, canned foods, sweets, etc. And most importantly, diversify your diet with gluten-free foods.

The opinion of athletes who claim that it was gluten-free products that helped increase their performance also deserves special attention. Studies with cyclists showed that performance did not improve significantly. Gluten intolerance can be determined by laboratory tests and a diagnosis confirmed by a doctor. In any case, medical supervision is mandatory. Alternatively, consultation with a nutritionist may be considered.

People who suffer from autoimmune diseases or diabetes should first consult with their doctor before changing any dietary habits. There are many diseases for which an individual diet is indicated, excluding salty, fried, sweet or foods containing lactose. It is the gluten-free diet in such a case that turns out to be convenient enough to maintain focus on the trend of proper nutrition.
