The second season of The Witcher series became available for free to everyone two days before its release, as well as on many other sites. At the same time, it became known that quite recently the famous writer from Poland Andrzej Sapkowski, on whose series of novels this series was based, decided to watch the continuation of the famous sorcerer’s story.
On the social network Twitter, the Pole shared his impressions of watching the TV show, and only positive notes can be seen in his post. Sapkowski said that he watched the series with aspiration.
“I watched with aspiration, and it’s like not saying anything at all. I was satisfied. Congratulations to Lauren, the showrunner, and her team for a great job done. Adapting my publications is not an easy task. I watched the second season with great pleasure. Now I hope that the third season will be even better. I was pleased to watch the actors give their all one hundred percent, because today you don’t see something like that every day. I can’t say that I’m a great expert in cinematography, but if I say exactly about my works, then I can express my opinion on this matter,” Andrzej wrote.
One cannot help but recall that about a month before the appearance of the second season of The Witcher on the Internet, Sapkowski gave an interview on this matter, where he admitted that he expected more from the continuation of the TV show than its creators could provide to their viewers.
“You always need to give your all, especially in those cases when you are making a film based on a book. In this case, the director has a huge responsibility, because he must not disappoint not only the bulk of the audience, but also the one who wrote this book. I really would I wanted these guys to show such class that I would be doubly fascinated. I would really like that. And if that happens, then I would like the third season to be even more spectacular. I know that I’m asking the impossible, but that’s the way I am man – I like everything to be perfect. At least, as I am convinced, it is necessary to strive for perfection in any work, because if you don’t do this, then there is no point in doing it at all. By the way, it seems to me that these guys worked hard famously and know perfectly well what they are worth. I just can’t wait to see their creation,” the writer said then.
