In 2015, 16 Ukrainian films were released in our cinemas

Over the five months of 2015, 16 Ukrainian premieres were released in Ukraine. Of these, six are documentaries, as well as two collections of short films.

In total, in our cinemas from January to May inclusive, according to calculations by ukrcinema.com, 117 premieres took place.

Domestic films appeared on our screens in the following sequence:

January 15 – “Magic Stories: Elixir of Kindness”
January 22 – “Stronger than weapons”
January 29 – “Ukrainian New Wave 3”
January 31 – “Volunteers of the Divine Couple”
February 26 – “OE. 20 LIVE IN KYIV”
February 26 – “Love me”
March 5 – “Blind Dates”
March 12 – “Married to a Foreigner”
March 26 – “Z Jock”
March 26 – “Everything is on fire”
April 2 – “Unbreakable”
April 16 – “My mermaid, my Lorelai”
April 16 – “Deadly Alive”
May 7 – “This is Me”
May 14 – “Hollywood over the Dnieper. Dreams from Atlantis”
May 28 – “Great Short Films”

As previously reported, of all these films, only two paid off: “Everything is Burning” and “Unbreakable.”

This year, the Ukrainian films “Brothers” are also promised to be released on screens. The Last Confession” by Victoria Trofimenko, “Flight of the Golden Fly” (Chronicles) by Ivan Kravchishin, “Ocean Elzy. Backstage” by Sergei Bukovsky, “Salvation” by Alexander Litvinenko, etc.
