On May 16 at 17:00 in the capital’s cinema “LIRA” (Bolshaya Zhitomirskaya St., 40) there will be a screening of the documentary almanac “UKR.DOC.” It consists of films by young domestic directors.
The selection includes films:
“Maidan Everywhere” directed by Ekaterina Gornostai
The story of this film is the story of the entire last year, which for me began with the Maidan and has not yet ended. For a whole year we lived in an atmosphere of revolution, then war. No matter what you do, all these things are always in the background, you always have them in mind, even if you live not on the border of military operations, but deep in the rear.
I want to remember this year, leave in the memory of the people around me. The year of Maidan, a year marked by war and peace.
“Sea Temper” directed by Dmitry Sukholitky-Sobchuk
An impressionistic portrait film about an eccentric athletics coach with a strong character, which he developed many years ago while serving in the navy.
“76-49” directed by Yulia Proskurina

“Two Days Longer” directed by Igor Sudakov
This is the story of a Ukrainian peasant who spent his entire life making short films and turned his home village into a small Ukrainian Hollywood. Cinema for him is a hobby and the love of his life. He taught me to be a director – not for money and fame, but because of the true love of cinema.
The total running time of the almanac is 80 minutes.
