Tenet
The film begins during an orchestra concert in Kyiv. A concert hall is attacked and we follow a nameless CIA agent as he goes undercover to recover a colleague and a strange artifact. The only name we have for this character is Protagonist. He fails the mission, is captured and tortured. To protect himself and his allies, he takes a cyanide pill. As it turns out, the tablet is fake, and in fact is an invitation to join a new intelligence service. So he becomes part of a top-secret mission known as “Tenet”.
The protagonist’s mission is to find out more. This leads him to a secret facility where he must learn inversion. The protagonist uses this information to track down arms dealer Priya Singh in Mumbai. He learns that she is a member of Tenet, and she reveals that the man who is buying her future technology is a Russian oligarch named Andrei Sator (Kenneth Branagh).
We learn that Sator has cancer and is dying. He is so angry about dying as a billionaire that he combines these cubes that cease to exist so that the world cannot continue without him. He creates an inverted nuclear bomb to destroy all existence. The main problem is that if you have an inverted nuclear bomb, it will create endless chaos and destroy the world.
The Crown (seasons 5 and 6)
