The upcoming film “Avengers: Infinity War” by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, produced by Marvel Studios, will be the 19th film in the MarveI cinematic universe. Its world premiere is scheduled for April 25, and the film will appear in Ukraine on April 26.
“Avengers: Infinity War” promises to be hot, and fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere. In the meantime, here are some interesting facts about the new blockbuster.
The film is loosely based on the 1991 comic book Infinity Gauntlet, written by Jim Starlin, Thanos’ creator, and drawn by artist George Perez.
The script for the new film was entrusted to Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the authors of Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor: The Dark World, and the directors will be the Russo brothers, behind whom they produced the blockbuster Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
This time, the Avengers will have to forget their feuds and disagreements, and also accept the addition of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, to take away from humanity a global and, perhaps, even impossible threat for them – the titan Thanos. The mad and powerful villain has long been hatching a grandiose plan: to capture all six infinity stones and, by combining them, become the ruler of the Universe. Finally, he succeeded. And now only the Avengers can stop Thanos from destroying the planet.
Avengers: Infinity War features a record number of star actors: Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Benicio del Toro, Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie, Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira, Paul Rudd, Don Cheadle , Gwyneth Paltrow and Letitia Wright.
Of the existing Marvel superheroes, the only two that will not appear in the film are the Wasp and Captain Marvel.
Filming took place from January 23 to May 2017 in Fayette County, Georgia, Scotland, in the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, in the Highlands, including Old Town and around Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. And also – in Durham Cathedral in Durham (England). Additional filming took place in Atlanta, New York City, as well as St. Egidio’s Cathedral in Edinburgh and Inverness Castle.
The production of the third and fourth parts of “The Avengers” was initially conceived in parallel. So the creators wanted to avoid information leaks, save on logistics and simplify the actors’ work schedule. But this idea was abandoned, so work on the fourth film began after the end of filming of Infinity War.
Also, to avoid leaks of information about the film, special fake scenes were included in the script. And some actors, for example, Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker, were not allowed to read the entire script.
Many heroes will change. Iron Man will appear in new armor that can “grow” over his body, Spider-Man will try on the Iron Spider suit that Tony Stark offered him at the end of Homecoming, and Scarlet Witch and Vision will have a romance.
This is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe project to be split into two parts.
