The Ukrainian-produced film Stronghold, which premiered in October last year, became a nominee for the FICCI BAF Awards in India.<\/p>\n
The film tells about a modern schoolboy Vitka, who through a mysterious time portal finds himself in the past – a thousand years ago.<\/p>\n
On the lands of Kievan Rus, Vitka meets legendary warriors: young Oleshko, powerful Ilya and strict Dobrynya. He learns that a terrible danger is approaching Rus’. To return home, the guy will have to go out to fight the Polovtsian evil spirits, overcome his own fears and show real courage. And also teach the legendary heroes modern slang.<\/p>\n
Postmodern was responsible for creating the visual effects for the fantasy adventure, which is now nominated in the VFX Film (International) category. It is worth noting that Postmodern has already received the FICCI BAF Awards in 2014 for the visual effects for the drama mini-series \u201cMoths\u201d.<\/p>\n
In addition to the Ukrainian film, the following films are vying for victory: \u201cBlade Runner 2049\u201d, \u201cThe Adventures of Paddington 2\u201d, \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy 2\u201d and the Indian film \u201cBaahubali 2: The Ending\u201d.<\/p>\n
