On May 7, the film \u201cThis is Me\u201d by Anna Akulevich begins rolling out. This mediocre picture will be the 14th domestic film released on wide screens this year.<\/p>\n
The film tells the story of a beautiful woman who returns to her home village, where her parents, relatives, forgotten lover and daughter are waiting for her. The long-awaited meeting is spoiled by the nervous breakdown of the main character. But her eight-year-old daughter is trying to perceive the world through the prism of a fairy tale.<\/p>\n
The script for the film was written by Oleg Fialko and Anna Akulevich. The cameraman was Daniil Dedkov, and Oleg Skripka contributed to the creation of the musical accompaniment.<\/p>\n
The Ukrainian premiere of the film took place in the out-of-competition program of last year\u2019s Molodist film festival. Among the film’s prizes are the Grand Prix of the IFF in Luciano (Italy) and a special award from the XXV IFF in Ankara (Turkey) \u201cfor a bright combination of traditions and modern film language.\u201d<\/p>\n
The film’s budget was UAH 8 million, half of which was government funding. Let us remember that \u201cThis Is Me\u201d was originally conceived as a family drama in 3D under the working title \u201cTurnip\u201d.
