Director Anna Ginzburg made an animated short film \u201cWhat is beauty?\u201d<\/p>\n
Previously, she released the film \u201cPrivate Parts,\u201d based on documentary interviews. She is dedicated to sexuality directly. Various animators drew genitals\u2014young and old, male and female, shy and sassy\u2014talking in human voices about vaginas, masturbation<\/a>, and similar topics.<\/p>\n In the new film, the director talks about how the perception of appearance has changed over the centuries. According to her, the only thing that remains unchanged is the pressure on women<\/a> to conform to body ideals.<\/p>\n \u201cMy little sister has anorexia,\u201d Ginsburg told It\u2019s Nice That, \u201cand she was hospitalized and tube-fed. She has been ill since she was 12 and is now 20. Her suffering over the past eight years has made me think about Western ideals of beauty and the increasing objectification of women in our culture.\u201d<\/p>\n
