Lately, LGBT films have been moving closer to mainstream status. In addition, they confidently collect awards at famous film festivals and achieve commercial success. But it was not always so.<\/p>\n
Interest in queer culture began to grow only in the 90s of the last century thanks to the New Queer Cinema movement. A boom like this will likely never happen again. Nevertheless, the level of such films is becoming higher and higher every year.<\/p>\n

The film takes place in New York in the fifties of the 20th century. The young heroine Teresa works as a saleswoman in one of the large stores in Manhattan. There she meets Carol, a sophisticated and seductive female<\/a> customer. The first spark that runs between women<\/a> will be followed by a deeper feeling. They will soon face a choice between social conventions and mutual attraction.<\/p>\n
