Oscar-winning director of the film “Beckham” Fisher Stevens (“City of Asteroids”, “Hail, Caesar”) will begin filming the climate drama “Montreal Protocol”. The film will tell the story of scientists who decide to restore the hole in the ozone layer to avoid a global ecological catastrophe.
The script is being adapted by Jess Kimball Leslie (“Kings of America”). The film is being created by Highly Flammable and Appian Way, headed by Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as New State Pictures and Curiosity Rights of the Ukrainian producer JD Zacharias. And the development financing is being taken on by RandomGood Films (“Beyond Utopia”)
