A video, recently posted on the web, features scenes from well-known movies, in which hit songs can be heard. The video compiles snippets from 23 films, including Magic Mike XXL, Zodiac, Blue Velvet, Boogie Nights, Reservoir Dogs, Chungking Express, Mommy and Fight Club.

In these films their characters are listening to songs by Queen, The Mamas & the Papas, Oasis, Creedence Clearwater Revival and other bands. The captions at the bottom of the screen indicate whether a song was used to convey the mood of a certain time period, define one’s character or highlight irony, ecstasy or romance in select scenes.

The video was created by Jacob T. Swinney. Earlier we published a video created by an independent Ukrainian filmmaker Sashko Danylenko and set to a song by David Lynch.
