The French tragicomedy “1+1” about the friendship between millionaire Philippe, paralyzed after an accident, and his black assistant Driss, was released back in 2011 and immediately won the hearts of moviegoers. This film was nominated for a Golden Globe. It also became one of the most successful works in the history of French cinema.
And now the first trailer for the film “The Untouchables,” an American remake, has appeared online. In the story, a paralyzed millionaire hires a black assistant to look after him. However, a man who seems completely unsuited for this job helps the rich man with humor and ease. And fills his life with interesting adventures.
In the original film, the millionaire was played by Francois Cluzet, and his assistant was played by Omar Sy. But in the American version, these roles went to Bryan Cranston, known for the crime series Breaking Bad. And also to Kevin Hart, who played in “Jumanji” with Dwayne Johnson.
Along with them, Nicole Kidman and Julianna Margulies (Alicia Florrick from The Good Wife) starred in the film. The director of “The Untouchables” was the director of “Divergent” and “Dark Areas” Neil Berger.
The film will be released worldwide on January 11 next year.
