On the first spring weekend, the triumphant Odessa International Film Festival “Blind Date” will appear in domestic cinemas. The film was shot in co-production between Georgia and Ukraine.
The lyrical comedy tells about a forty-year-old failed teacher Sandro, who cannot improve his personal life. Attempts to find your “soul mate” via the Internet lead to a number of funny situations. But then, consumed by sadness, the main character nevertheless meets a woman who reciprocates his feelings. However, their relationship is not destined to last long. Her husband is released from prison.
Events take place in Tbilisi. A private producer from Ukraine took part in its creation and invested money in it.
The film received the Grand Prix of the jury of the Fifth Odessa Film Festival. This is the second full-length feature film in the career of director Levan Koguashvili. The film collected more than ten awards at international film festivals.
